Next Saturday, July 25th, we invite you to a very special evening where memory, landscape, and wine come together to connect us with our roots. The choice of this date is no coincidence: on this exact day, we commemorate the 88th anniversary of the beginning of the Battle of the Ebro, which started at dawn on July 25, 1938.
In collaboration with the Marcats pel 38 project, we will discover what happened during the battle, specifically at Coll del Moro, from the social and human perspective of our grandparents who lived through the conflict. This history connects deeply with Herència Altés, a winery born in Terra Alta with family roots tied to this territory and its memory. We will taste wines that transport us back to our origins and connect us with our heritage.
What will we do?
7:00 PM - Welcome to the Herència Altés winery and a walk through the vineyards to Coll del Moro.
7:30 PM - Historical explanation on-site at Coll del Moro.
8:30 PM - Return to the winery, discovery of the surroundings, and a guided tasting of 4 wines in our tasting room to share the experience.
9:00 PM - End of the activity (and if you feel like it, you can stay for a glass of wine and some snacks at our wine bar, La Xalamera!).
