La Xalamera: Wine bar and food & wine space by Herència Altés (Terra Alta)

La Xalamera was born with the desire to be a meeting space. A unique setting designed to enjoy wine, tranquility, and the privileged views of our surroundings.

True to its name, this is a space for gathering and revitalization that evokes joy, pleasure, and the art of enjoying oneself (xalar). Here, the atmosphere flows to the rhythm of wine music: a subtle and relaxing soundtrack designed to accompany every glass and enhance the flavor of every artisan product coming out of our kitchen.

Whether you seek absolute silence among the vineyards or a shared wine and culinary experience, this is your place in the Terres de l'Ebre.

Gastronomy

The alliance between territory and cuisine

La Xalamera’s culinary offering has been created in collaboration with chef Oriol Casals (Teòric Taverna Gastronòmica, Barcelona), renowned for promoting traditional Catalan cuisine through small tasting dishes crafted with organic and locally sourced products. With his vision, we have designed a menu that seeks absolute harmony and coherence between what we serve on the plate and what you find in the glass.

Leading the wine bar and bringing this experience to life, you will find our passionate wine tourism team in action, featuring Isabelle Brunet, a renowned sommelier with a long career as a wine messenger, guiding you as an interpreter of terroir. They will be in charge of guiding you so that every bite and every wine you taste make perfect sense. It is the moment where the landscape and the instant meet magically in the glass.

Our culinary philosophy

Slow food and ethics: we embrace the principles of food that is good, clean and fair. By working exclusively with high-quality local producers, we build a network of small specialist suppliers that supports our community while reducing unnecessary intermediaries.

Traditional and regional cuisine: we revive the recipe book of Catalan and Terres de l’Ebre cuisine. We are the home of White Grenache and Clotxa, the historic lunch of our farmers, elevated to the category of an experience.

Respect for the terroir: our low-intervention philosophy in the vineyard translates into the kitchen. We view geography, geology, and climate as the true chefs behind our dishes and wines.

Democratization of enogastronomy: we believe great wine should be enjoyed by everyone. That's why our pricing policy is designed to encourage discovery, connection, and the shared pleasure of wine.
