Situated on the east side of the plateau known as Benufet in Batea and La Serra in Gandesa, and downward-sloping towards Gandesa, lies La Sierra Xalamera. It is an estate of 15 hectares of which we have preserved 3,5 hectares of garnacha blanca planted in 1959 – the latest of our efforts to maintain this important heritage of old garnacha vines.

With 34 meters of height difference and an altitude between 408 and 442 meters above sea level, the Sierra Xalamera has a central valley with two sloping sides.

The west orientation allows the Sierra Xalamera to wake up to the first rays of sunshine that dry the early morning dewdrops. Dominated by the the Garbí and the Cerç breezes the conditions are always in balance for the correct development of grape berries.

Soils are mostly of "pañal", limestone and clay, poor in organic matter.
